ME / CFS / PVFS cured in Cambridge and London with Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy and applied psychological techniques
ME (Myalgic Encephalopathy or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) / CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) / PVFS (Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome) is a condition that can be extremely debilitating and limiting for the sufferer.
Some of the symptoms of ME/CFS/PVFS include:
- Muscle pain and/or weakness
- Muscle Twitching
- Joint pain
- Chronic physical exhaustion
- Post-exertional fatigue
- Mental exhaustion
- Difficulty concentrating
- Cognitive dysfunction
- Sleep problems
- IBS symptoms/Digestive/gastric problems
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Poor memory
- Breathing difficulties
- Headaches
- Irregular heartbeat/palpitations
- Food intolerances
ME/CFS/PVFS regularly disables sufferers to the extent that they are unable to go to work/college/school. If you have ME/CFS/PVFS your social life may have become pretty much non-existent, meaning that you feel very isolated and lonely. Some people become completely housebound or even bedbound and may require full time care.
Although for some people the symptoms improve or eventually disappear, many struggle for years or even the rest of their lives with the effects of ME/CFS/PVFS.
This need not be the case!
ME/CFS/PVFS sufferers tend to have a number of limiting beliefs about themselves and their illness, which contribute to their non-recovery. These limiting beliefs and thoughts mean that the sufferer is in a constantly stressed state, causing many physical symptoms and a reduced ability to recover from illness. Indeed most people feel so ill that they believe that they will never get better, which only serves to create more stress maintaining/worsening the condition.
Many people do not realise that there is such a strong connection between your beliefs and feelings and the development of physical symptoms and illnesses. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that the way you think and feel about yourself has a significant impact upon the way you live your life, how much success you achieve and even your immune system. Indeed research by many doctors and scientists has highlighted the positive effects that high self-esteem and a positive mental attitude can have on recovering from many illnesses and diseases.
Many studies on the common cold virus have suggested that stress is an important factor in developing a cold and that feeling positive reduces your likelihood of catching one:
"Consistent with the hypothesis that psychological stress increases susceptibility to infectious agents, higher scores on each of the 3 stress scales were associated with greater risk of developing a cold.”
S. Cohen, D. Tyrrell, A. Smith, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (1993) 64(1) 131-140
"The tendency to experience positive emotions was associated with greater resistance to objectively verifiable colds”
S. Cohen, W. Doyle et al, Psychosomatic Medicine (2003) 65 652-657
A study on people with leukemia undergoing bone marrow transplants concluded that:
"Patients in the higher Fighting Spirit group had a significantly higher rate of survival”
V. Tschuschkea, B. Hertensteinb, R. Arnoldc, D. Bunjesd, R. Denzingere, H. Kaechelee, Journal of Psychosomatic Research (2001) 50, 277-285
Many other studies have highlighted the importance of feeling positive in recovering from illness:
"some patients were given a positive consultation (for minor ailments) along the lines of, "you will be better soon," and some were given a negative consultation, along the lines of, "I'm not sure what's wrong with you." After 2 weeks, 64% of those who received a positive consultation were better but only 39% of those who received the negative one were better."
D. Hamilton (2008) www.drdavidhamilton.com
"It has been reported that positive thinking and laughter have favourable effects on disease.... In other words, the immune system is influenced by mental stress, and its modulation affects the pathogenesis of a series of autoimmune diseases."
S. Yoshino & E. Mukai, Modern Rheumatology (2003) 13, 3, 193-198
If your limiting beliefs are preventing you from recovering from illness and stopping you from living life to the full, YOU have the power to change these destructive beliefs. Your ME/ CFS/ PVFS does NOT have to rule your life any longer.

Testimonials from some Ex ME / CFS / PVFS Sufferers
I was suffering very badly from ME for over 20 years, and it was ruining my life. I had tried everything to get better, and nothing worked. I then came across The Rob Kelly Technique, and it has transformed my life. I rarely get the ME symptoms anymore, and when I do, they don’t last as long, or get as bad, as they used to.

Dear Rob
After suffering terribly from M.E. for 14 years, I am totally amazed to be writing to you today, to tell you that it is now completely gone!
I have taken charge of my thoughts and beliefs, and cured myself! Thank you so much for sharing your 'limiting beliefs' technique with me - I am now the person I always knew that I could be. My husband, my family and my GP can't believe - but that is their 'limiting belief'.
Thank you Rob, so very much.
Emily x
PS I hope you get this in time to add to your book!
