Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) resolved in Cambridge and London with Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy and applied psychological techniques
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating anxiety disorder, which can result from experiencing a traumatic event or events. Factors that can contribute to an event being traumatic include:
- Fear of losing your life or of others dying
- Seeing others die
- Sexual assault
or fear of sexual assault
- Severe physical injury, disfigurement or disability or fear of one occuring
- Torture
or fear of torture
- A belief that you have failed in some way and that this has resulted in harm to others
- A belief that your survival or escape from harm is unjustified
- A belief that you have been betrayed
- The violation of a 'core belief' (e.g. belief in God, friendship, love, fairness, justice)
- Shame associated with any other factors
- Guilt associated with any other factors
Experiences and events such as: experiencing or witnessing childhood or adult sexual, physical or emotional abuse/assault; accidents; illness; natural disasters or war can all be traumatic.
Three types of symptom occur in PTSD: intrusive recollections of trauma, increased physiological arousal and numbing/ withdrawal/ avoidance.
- Intrusive recollections of trauma: you experience intrusive and recurrent flashbacks of the trauma, during which there is a sense of reliving the event. Intense anxiety and distress is caused by exposure to cues that relate to or symbolically represent the traumatic event.
- Increased arousal: symptoms of increased stress arousal, which were not present before the traumatic event, occur. For example, difficulties in sleeping, irritability, anger or hyper-vigilance.
- Numbing/ withdrawal/ avoidance: you persistently avoid anything associated with the traumatic event and employ defence mechanisms such as denial and suppression of emotions.
If you are suffering from PTSD you are probably struggling to process your traumatic experience or experiences. Although you suffer from intrusive and distressing flashbacks, you understandably do you everything you can to avoid these and try to block them out as much as possible, which means that you have many bottled up and suppressed emotions relating to the traumatic event/s. It is likely that you have not yet felt safe enough to really release all the emotions you felt at the time of the event/s.
PTSD need not dictate your life any longer or prevent you from living the life you really want to. I offer several forms of treatment that can really enable you to resolve your PTSD.
Resolving PTSD with Pure Hypnoanalysis
If you are suffering from PTSD after an event(s) which occurred a relatively long time ago (for example in your childhood or a number of years ago) then Pure Hypnoanalysis can be an extremely effective therapy for treating your PTSD. It is a very special type of hypnotherapy and one of the best methods in the world for treating emotional, psychological or anxiety-related problems.
In this uniquely successful therapy, you are able to completely resolve the root emotional cause of your PTSD, in a very safe and non-judgmental atmosphere. Over a period of about 6 to 12 sessions, we slowly link experiences together (using a process of 'free association') until you have released all your bottled up emotions. Upon finishing therapy, you will find that you are no longer held back by the unresolved emotions from your traumatic experience(s) and are able to live the life you really want, free of your PTSD.

Resolving PTSD with a FIMET Session
I also offer sessions particularly designed to enable people to process and move on from recent traumatic incidents in a completely safe and non-judgmental atmosphere.
These Forensic and Investigative Memory Enhancing Technique (FIMET) consultations, also allow clients to elicit as much information as possible surrounding an incident (or incidents), when this information may be used in a police investigation and/or legal proceedings, without inadvertently creating memory distortions or inaccuracies.
The FIMET sessions are ideally suited for helping people who have:
(a) experienced some form of traumatic incident(s) and are struggling to process it (get over it), or are suffering in some way as a consequence of it
(b) experienced some form of traumatic incident(s), and have poor memory recall (or none at all) about the experience(s)
(c) experienced some form of traumatic incident(s), have poor memory recall (or none at all) about the experience(s) and where the information gathered about the experience(s) may be used in Civil or Criminal legal proceedings
